The Friends of the Library Yard Sale on the Library lawn takes place Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm (Rain Date Sunday, April 24th from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm).
This month, Teens and Tweens can enjoy Teen Cuisine with Chefs of d’Future, Teen/Tween P[art]y Art Event, the Vacation Ultimate Candy Decorating Contest. And there’s time set aside for Teens to Exam Cram Study.

There’s a lot for the Children, too: Family Pre-school Hour and Babystart with a Time for Kids; Play Hooray, Storytime (3 and 4 year olds), Funkytown Playground; Chess for Kids; and the 3-session Passport Club with all-new destinations, for Kids in grades 1 and 2.

Make a Stained Glass Suncatcher with Through the Looking Glass, participate in a Reader’s Theater performance, make a Peeps House with Chefs of d’Future Mommy and Me program.

Monday Game Nites for Grownups is an instant hit, thanks to moderator Patty Cook. Other Adult programs featured are: Introduction to Quilting; Paint Like the Greats – Dali (hybrid); Meditation for the Mind, Body, and Soul (ZOOM); Intro to Native Plant Gardening (ZOOM); and Author Talk with Marni Graf (“The Evening’s Amethyst). Adult weekly Chair Yoga (Hybrid) is ongoing Wednesday mornings.

The Floral Park Book Club April read is “Islands in the Sea” by Lisa See, and the newly launched Evening Edition Book Club meets at 7:00 pm on April 14th to discuss Kevin Wilson’s “Nothing to See Here.” The Library Board meets in person on Wednesday, April 13th at 7:30 pm.

Everyone can join our Moon Party with Sidewalk Astronomer Tom Lynch at 7:00 pm on April 12.

The Made with Love Knitting and Crocheting group meets weekly Mondays at 6:30 pm and Wednesdays at 11:30 am. The St. Francis Health Van will be at the Library Monday, April 11th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

On April 29, A Shred Away, Inc. will be in the Library parking lot from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm (5 box max).
And thanks to all our patrons – and winners – of last month’s “Read Across Floral Park” initiative. The photos were amazing and creative!
