Needed items include Band Aids, Sterile Eye Dressings; Gauze Dressings; Safety Pins; Tweezers and Scissors; Skin Rash Creams; Pain Relievers and Digital Thermometers. There is a bin at the library for your donations, and we thank you for your generosity.

Stroke Prevention with Maura Calio – Virtual Wednesday, May 25 at 3 p.m. When stroke strikes, will you be ready? Learn exactly what a stroke is, how to lower your individual risk, and what are indicative symptoms, and actions to take. This program is brought to you courtesy of Nassau Libraries Health Share. Virtual Paint Night Friday, May 20 at 7 p.m. Grades 5 – 12. Join our artist Alma as she guides you through a step-by-step painting. No experience necessary, beginners welcome!

Stemtastic: Castles & Catapults! – All Purpose Room 2nd Floor Monday, May 23 at 4:30 p.m. Grades: 2-4. We’ll design and build our own catapults and use them to launch our “ammo” over our opponents castle walls for a friendly competition!

Kahoot Trivia: Musical May – Virtual Tuesday, May 24 at 7 p.m. All Ages – Family Fun! Test your knowledge on all things Music in this fun virtual trivia game! A prize will be awarded to the night’s trivia contest winner.

Don’t Underestimate the Power of LEGO! – All Purpose Room, 2nd Floor Thursday, May 26 at 4:30 p.m. Grades: 2-4. Explore solar systems in a galaxy far far away during this fun Star Wars Themed Workshop! Learn about Mars, design a mission to explore the planet, and build LEGO Star Wars model spacecraft’s that you get to take home! Material Fee: $2
