PROGRAMS and EVENTS
Hillside Public Library, in conjunction with Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, is conducting a Drive for Needed Items for folks living on the streets. The following is a partial list of some of the desired items: Peanut butter; crackers; protein bars; fruit cups; deodorant; mouthwash; water-proof gloves; warm socks; scarves; reusable bags; ziploc bags. Also, $5-$10 gift cards for food: Dunkin; 7/11; McDonalds, etc.

Great Flowering Indoor Plants – All Purpose Room
Wednesday, January 31, 2 – 3 p.m. Paul “the Plant Man” discusses 9 different flowering indoor plants including Peace Lily, African Violet and Bromeliad. Learn the best locations in your home for each plant, and how to get the most out of them! Also different watering techniques, lighting and potential problems of each and how to solve them. Free plant raffle!
