In April, members of the Sands Point Garden Club planted a native Black Gum tree (Nyssa Sylvia)  at the Sands Point Village Hall, to honor the National Arbor Day Foundation’s designation of Sands Point as a  “Tree City USA.”

The club’s activities include educational lectures on gardening, environmental issues, and floral design, in addition to maintaining the herb garden at the Helen Keller National Center.
