Williston Park library news

The 2022 Summer Reading Program “Oceans of Possibilities” was a great success. We offered many wonderful programs, and the kids had a great time. Thank you to the following sponsors who helped make this program possible: Friends of the Williston Park Library, Rotary Club of Williston Park, Haller-Zaremba Agency, American Legion Post #144, Chamber of Commerce of the Willistons, Weigand Brothers Funeral Home, Frantoni’s, Hilderbrandt’s, Gelateria dei Coltelli, Gino’s Pizzeria, Wendy’s Dunkin’ Donuts & Carvel. Thank you to Solomon Schechter School for the use of their parking lot for our Kickoff event.

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers and artists from St. Aidan’s who gave their time to help at the various programs and painting the library’s windows with this year’s theme.

They are: Susanna Denny, Emma Gormley, Tommy Fortunato, Beatrice Denny, Sebastian Mendieta, Nicole Kolasny, Aidan Logan, Katie West, Ashely Voyer, Jason Boyd, John Conroy and Emily Herr.

The library still has multiple copies of books for St. Aidan’s summer reading. They are on carts in the main reading room, with signs designating grade.

If you’ve borrowed a museum pass, we ask that it be returned in the library by 10 a.m. on the due date to ensure timely pick up for the next patron on the waiting list. If you wish to return the pass prior to the due date and the library is closed, please put in the book drop. We appreciate your cooperation.

The library is distributing COVID-19 self-test kits while supplies last.
