Former Ambassador Martin Indyk to Speak at Temple Beth Sholom

Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood & Z’havah Young Leaders Group are partnering with the Sid Jacobson JCC to present a discussion on Thursday, October 20th, at 7:45 p.m. with Martin Indyk, former ambassador to Israel, and author of “Master of the Game: Henry Kissinger and the Art of Middle East Diplomacy.”

The book is a perceptive and provocative history of Henry Kissinger’s diplomatic negotiations in the Middle East that illuminates the unique challenges and barriers the former U.S. Secretary of State Kissinger and his successors have faced in their attempts to broker peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

Indyk, who was a special envoy for the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations in 2013, bases his book on newly available documents from American and Israeli archives, interviews with Kissinger, and his own interactions with some of the main players.

The event is free and open to the public. Temple Beth Sholom is located at 401 Roslyn Road, Roslyn Heights. The temple office number is 516-621-2288.
