An 85-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle in Manhasset Tuesday night, according to Nassau County Police.

Mykola Rybalka, of Manhasset, was crossing Plandome Road eastbound at approximately 5:30 p.m. when he was hit by a 2021 Infiniti traveling northbound and operated a 79-year-old man, police said.

Rybalka was transported to a local hospital after police and the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department responded to the scene, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Infiniti remained at the scene and no other injuries were reported.
