As the Manhasset area elections approach on March 19, no elected positions are contested.

Five Manhasset villages will be holding elections this March. This includes Plandome, Plandome Heights, Plandome Manor, Munsey Park and Flower Hill.

The Village of Plandome has four positions up for election.

Mayor John Kurkjian is running for re-election for a one-year term to finish out the previously uncompleted one-year term of mayor. Kurkjian, previously a trustee, took over as mayor following previous mayor Thomas S. Minutillo’s resignation in August.

Trustee Damien Quinn took over the vacated trustee position left by Kurkjian in August and is running for re-election for a term of one year to finish the uncompleted term.

Trustees Robert Broderick and James Corcoran are both running for re-election to two-year terms.

The Village of Plandome election will be held from 12-9 p.m. on March 19 at Village Hall at 65 South Drive.

Plandome Heights also has four positions up for election: three trustee positions and a mayor. All candidates are running uncontested for two-year terms under the Alliance Party.

Incumbent Mayor Kenneth C. Riscica is running to reassume the position he’s held since 2012, while incumbent trustees Mary Hauck and Kristina Lobosco both seek re-election after first taking office in 2022.

Eric Carlson is running for his first term as board trustee after previously serving on the village’s planning board and the board of zoning appeals. He is seeking to replace Florence Musalo who has decided not to run for re-election.

Polling will take place from 12-9 p.m. on March 19 at Plandome Heights Village Hall at 65 South Drive.

Additionally, the Village of Plandome Manor has two incumbent trustees running for re-election uncontested. Antonio DeSousa and Patricia O’Neill both under the People’s Party are running for another two-year term.

Plandome Manor elections will be held from 12-9 p.m. on March 19 at Manor Village Hall at 55 Manhasset Ave.

The Village of Munsey Park also has two incumbent trustees running for re-election uncontested.

Regina Im and Gregory LiCalzi Jr., both under the Residents for a Better Munsey Park Party, are running for another two-year term. Both incumbents have been on the board since 2020.

Munsey Park elections will be held from 12-9 p.m. on March 19 at Munsey Park Village Hall at 1777 Northern Blvd.

The Village of Flower Hill – which encompasses parts of Port Washington, Manhasset and Roslyn – will also be holding an uncontested election and all incumbents with a seat up for a vote are seeking re-election.

Five positions will be featured on Flower Hill’s March 19 ballot: mayor, three trustees and a village justice.

Incumbents Mayor Randall Rosenbaum, Trustee Claire Dorfman, Trustee Gary Lewandowski, Trustee Arthur “AJ” Smith and Village Justice Dennis Reisman. All candidates are running under the Flower Hill Party.

Rosenbaum was first elected as Flower Hill’s mayor in 2022, replacing former mayor Brian Herrington in an uncontested election.

This will be Smith’s first election after coming onto the board last May to fill a vacancy.

Flower Hill’s March 19 election will be held at its village hall at 1 Bonnie Heights Road from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.
