A homeless man was charged with arson in three incidents that took place in North New Hyde Park Saturday, police said.

Jatinder Singh, 29, is alleged to have left the Five Below on Hillside Avenue with a shopping cart containing items from the store he did not purchase before setting the cart on fire, according to police.

Police suspect Singh was responsible for two other arsons that both took place on that same morning of Sept. 10 involving a dumpster and potted flower pots, which were set on fire at two different locations on Jericho Turnpike. 

Singh is charged with petit larceny, arson of the first degree and two counts of arson of the fourth degree, police said.
