New Hyde Park-Garden City Park Board of Education honored on Monday six students from the district who were cited for their performance as Regional Team Winners in the New York State Elementary Mathematics Tournament.

Superintendent of Schools Jennifer Morrison-Raptis presented certificates to Hillside Grade School 5th graders, Clair Fang, Austin Fang and Surie Sicat, and to Manor Oaks School 4th graders, Isabelle Wong, Ethan Tsui and Muhammad Najam.

The young scholars were designated 2023 regional champions for their respective grade levels, said Morrison-Raptis.
