Pia Ferrante, an exceptional administrator, and advocate for student well-being, has been honored with the prestigious Nassau Counselors Association 2023 Administrator of the Year Award.

Ferrante’s commitment to the holistic development of students has been exemplary throughout her career. Known for her unwavering focus on the well-being of the whole child, she understands that emotional health is crucial to fostering success.

With her inspiring leadership style, she empowers her staff to lead by example and continuously strives to build a positive school culture.

Having started her journey as a school counselor, Ferrante recognizes the immense value counselors bring to students, staff, and families.

She actively embraces innovative counseling approaches, and her passion for creating a supportive environment is evident in her creative solutions, such as introducing play “pods” to enhance social skills development during recess.

Michael Hynes, superintendent of schools for Port Washington, commended Dr. Ferrante’s exceptional leadership, stating, “Dr. Ferrante is a beacon of inspiration for our educational community.
