Roslyn BOE recognizes academic and athletic achievements

At two recent Roslyn Board of Education meetings, President Meryl Waxman Ben-Levy gave remarks and honored several students with certificates for their highly esteemed achievements.

On Feb. 15, recognition was given to Regeneron Semi-Finalists Cayden Shen and Shayla Zheng, who after being introduced by Dr. Allyson Weseley, Roslyn’s Coordinator of Secondary Research, gave brief presentations on their research.

Roslyn High School Principal Dr. Scott Andrews congratulated Salutatorian Cole Goodman, who gave brief remarks.

At the March 21 Roslyn BOE meeting, Roslyn High School Principal Dr. Scott Andrews and Dr. Allyson Weseley gave remarks on the achievements of Valedictorian Jacob Gross, who gave a brief presentations on his research and accepted certificates for earning the title of valedictorian and for being named a Regeneron semifinalist and finalist.

After remarks by Athletics Director Michael Brostowski, recognition was given to student-athlete Zach Davidson for winning the Pole Vault Nassau County Championship and placing third in the New York State Indoor Track and Field Championships.
