A pillar of the community, Gunjan Rastogi leads one of New York’s most unique health care
organizations. As CEO and Founder of UniversaCare, a New York-based licensed and accredited home healthcare agency, she leads hundreds of essential caregivers and clinicians to keep our most vulnerable population safe at home.

In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, she is also a community leader, philanthropist, optimist, and resident of New York City whose dedication to serving the community at large is lauded and acclaimed by many.
UniversaCare is not your average home healthcare agency. With the help of her son, Millen, she proudly operates a blockchain-enabled family-run business which considers itself a technology company first.
With an intense focus on improving health delivery, improving patient outcomes and minimizing health costs, UniversaCare utilizes Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence to distinguish itself from its peers.

Navigating the home healthcare landscape has never been more challenging, and Gunjan continues to trailblaze with her distinctive approach towards solving modern-day
problems in the space.

UniversaCare currently operates two offices and proudly services Nassau County
and all five boroughs of New York City.
Caregiving is rooted in the principles of trust and compassion, and those are the exact qualities embodied by Gunjan and her diverse team of nurses, caregivers and staff. Recognizing the challenges that come with working in home healthcare, UniversaCare is a long-standing advocate of homecare workers is committed to doing everything possible to keep our loved home safe at home.

Additionally, Gunjan feels very strongly about giving back to the community. To further her commitment towards philanthropy, she helped establish UniversaCharities, a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2020 at the peak of the COVID-
19 pandemic, to bring her charitable grace to the broader healthcare market.
Gunjan’s leadership has been invaluable to multiple for- and non-profit organizations on the local, regional and national levels.

She previously held the title of President for Indian Association of Long
Island (IALI), a non-profit with over 2,000 members. Currently, she serves as the President of National Indo-American Association for Senior Citizens (NIAASC), Regional Vice President for National Federation of Indian American Association (NFIA) and sits on the Board of the National American Association of Indians (NIA). She is also the Vice President for World Vegan Vision (WVV), an international non-profit offering plan-forward education and programs on the benefits of a plant-based
diet, animal welfare and environmental conservation. Her involvement in these organizations provides her a platform to fight for the needs of others on a slew of social and health-related topics.
In addition to her contributions to the Indian community, she proudly sits as a Board Member for the Queens County Board 11, New York (QB11) and is a member of the Diversity Council for the Theodore Roosevelt Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
Gunjan migrated to the United States in 1981 after completing her Bachelor of Science Degree from Miranda House College located in New Delhi, India. Upon her arrival to New York, she furthered her education by earning a diploma in Computer Science and pursued a career as a Software Engineer for 10 years with leading Wall Street Fortune 500 companies such as Prudential Securities, Lehman Brothers, UBS, and Fidelity Investments.

In pursuit of the true American dream, Gunjan’s passion for helping others led her to start UniversaCare.
In her spare time, Gunjan enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures. Above all else, she enjoys spending time with her family – husband Pradeep, son Millen, daughter Manjari, son-in-law Sachin, and her two grandchildren.
