To celebrate Halloween and inspire creativity, Manor Oaks School third graders in Gina Gaudioso and Lisa Kay’s classes decorated pumpkins and displayed them from Oct. 27-28 for a schoolwide Pumpkins on Parade.
To prepare, the students sketched their ideas. They brought in the needed supplies and decorated their unique Halloween pumpkins in class. Students throughout the building were invited to vote for the most creative pumpkin in each classroom.
Three winners were chosen from each class. They had their name announced on the morning announcements and their pumpkin put on display in the main lobby.
The Pumpkins on Parade event has been a Halloween highlight at Manor Oaks for more than 30 years.
