The Hillside Public Library is sponsoring a Basic First Aid Supplies Drive to support Ukraine. Needed items include Band Aids, Sterile Eye Dressings; Gauze Dressings; Safety Pins; Tweezers and Scissors; Skin Rash Creams; Pain Relievers and Digital Thermometers. There is a bin at the library for your donations, and we thank you for your generosity.

Composting: How To Make Black Gold for Your Garden – Virtual Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m. Essential Earth Farm discusses making better organic compost. Learn how compost reduces waste, enriches soil, and is the ultimate organic fertilizer for your garden beds this summer. Essential Earth Farm is a small, women-owned, urban farm located in Stamford, CT. Their mission is to help individuals, communities and businesses decrease their environmental food impact by increasing accessibility and affordability of locally and sustainably grown produce.

Craft Corner – All Purpose Room, 2nd Floor Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m. Get in the summer spirit early this year by making a fun patriotic wreath! A $5 materials fee will be collected at the start of the program. This program is for adults only.

Fiction loves History Book Club with Suzanne Molczan – Program is both in-person and Virtual. Thursday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. The book being discussed is: Birdcage Walk by Helen Dunmore. Revolutionary turmoil in France threatens to cross the English border and tear apart an increasingly tense marriage.

Buzzing with Bees! – All Purpose Room, 2nd Floor Friday, June 3 at 4:30 p.m. Join us for a fun and exciting program with Gerry the Bee Guy! Learn all about bees and beekeeping; the importance of honeybees, how they live, and communicate. See a real bee suit and learn the Wiggle Waggle Dance of the bees. This program is for all ages. The presentation is age appropriate for children, parents are also welcome!

Zumba – Virtual Thursday, June 2 at 5:30 p.m. All Ages Youth (Children/Tweens/Teens). Join us for a fun dance-based exercise class!
