In what has become a Memorial Day tradition, members of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce will be giving away hand-held American flags to parade-goers who attend Port’s Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29
Chamber of Commerce President Debbie Greco Cohen said, “This is the forty-second year that Chamber volunteers precede the parade and hand out thousands of free flags. Everyone in the Chamber is very proud to be a part of this effort to honor our veterans.”
Those who come to Main Street on May 29 to honor veterans will be rewarded by the sight of friends and neighbors, young and old, waving their flags as the veterans in the parade pass by.
