Town of North Hempstead Council Members Veronica Lurvey and Peter Zuckerman along with Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman recently attended a St. Baldrick’s Benefit at Publicans in Manhasset on April 10.
This year marked the 4th Annual Manhasset Head Shaving Bonanza, which was spearheaded by Logan Panzik, a young resident from Manhasset.
The Town Board members celebrated the young leaders from the community for supporting St. Baldrick’s mission to fund childhood cancer research. During the previous benefits, Logan was able to raise $50,000.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor-driven charity that funds and supports research to find cures for childhood cancers. The organization raised over $314 million in research grand funding since 2005. To donate online, visit their website at www.stbaldricks.org.
