This year’s Summer Reading kickoff will take place on Saturday, June 25 from 11 am-1 pm in the Village Hall parking lot. Children will be able to register for our programs, dance to the DJ and enjoy some ice cream. Staff from NY Life will be available for Child ID registration.
The library is distributing Covid-19 self-test kits while supplies last.

Adult Programs
Reiki—Thursdays—June 9 & 23; July 7 & 21; August 4 & 18–6 pm in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. $10 p/person.
Shredding Service—Saturday—June 4—1:30-4:30 pm in the parking lot of Solomon Schecter School.
St. Francis Hospital Health Screenings—Monday—June 20—10am-2pm in front of the Library. Open to everyone over 18 years of age. Included: brief cardiac history, blood pressure and simple blood test for cholesterol and diabetes.
Empire Safety Driving Course—Wednesday—June 22—10am-4pm in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. $30 p/person. Checks payable to Empire Safety Counsel. Registration forms are available at the Circulation Desk, or call the library at 516-742-1820, and one will be mailed to you.
Ceramic Gnome Craft—Tuesday–June 28—6 pm in the Library. $20 material fee. Limited to 20 participants. Call the library (742-1820) or email [email protected] to register.
A Matter of Balance—Wednesdays—July 6, 13, 20, 27; August 3, 10, 17, 24—1 pm-3 pm in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. Per the presenter, there is a maximum of 12 participants who must attend the first 2 classes & a minimum of 5 for completion. This program is designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Storytime with Miss Beth—Tuesdays—May 31—11-11:45 am in the Children’s Room for children ages 1-4.
