The Village of Williston Park will be having its tree lighting ceremony at village hall on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
Hot chocolate and candy canes will be served, Christmas carols will be sung by scouts and neighbors and Santa will arrive with the help of the fire department.
Volunteers are needed for operation Santa, which is taking place on Monday, Dec. 24. Anyone interested can contact village hall at 746-2193.
