Mineola High School Class of 2024 showed creativity, strength and inimitable school spirit as they dominated their younger classmates to take first place in both the hallway decorating contest and the Battle of the Classes competition.

The games began on March 4 as each class took over a hallway and created unique interactive experiences, complete with costumes, decorations and performances. Teachers and administrators were invited to immerse themselves in each hallway before judging them based on predetermined criteria.

In the end, the Class of 2024 was awarded first-place for their Disney World inspired “Senior World” display, followed by the juniors, sophomores, eighth graders and freshmen.

On March 5, the learners participated in the annual Battle of the Classes, a Mineola tradition in which the students compete in a series of challenges, including relay races, obstacle courses, tug-of-war and musical chairs. Once again, the seniors proved formidable and took first place with juniors and sophomores tying for second place and freshmen and eighth graders sharing third place.
