Temporary platforms on the western portion of Mineola’s station will close and the eastern end of it will reopen starting March 28 as renovation continues, according to the Long Island Rail Road.

The move does not have an end date as of now. Ticketing machines that were once located on the south side are now located east of 3rd Avenue.

The renovations are one of many that have taken place at the station including cast-in-place platforms, overpass work and support building work on the north side of the tracks, according to a release.

Additionally, infrastructure involving conduit, signage bands and light fixtures on both sides of the tracks are also being put in.

ADA ramps on the north side are located by the existing elevator and overpass, whereas the south side ramps are located east of 3rd Ave. by 2nd and 4th Ave. Staircases east of Mineola Blvd will be located at the east end of the platform.
